We have received notice that our guest speaker will be unable to attend and present at our CHHAVAN Branch meeting on Thursday, January 19th 2012. Therefore the meeting is cancelled. Please ensure that you share this news with others as well.
Instead we are planning to hold a different sort of event in February so please watch this space for further news.

The September Branch Meeting will be on Thursday, 15th, 7-9pm at 3575 Kaslo Street, Childrens Hearing and Speech Centre of B.C. This will be a “Welcome Back” social, with a short program, and social time.
It’s Membership renewal time. For new or renewal of memberships: please bring $35 to the September meeting.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Lorienne Jenstad.
Lorienne will be speaking about “Why are some people reluctant to get hearing aids, and what are the consequences when they don’t?“
Lorienne says this is a different talk from what she presented at the CHHA-North Shore Branch last fall, as they have collected a great deal of new data since that time. She expects to have a student audiologist or two along, to be involved in the presentation, as well.
